Why does this place exist? They do not pick calls just like their counterparts in Washington DC. What is the point of having this consulate In New York when they can’t collect biometrics for the new e passport? Efficiency clearly isn’t their priority. They have no phone etiquette. These consulates need a staff overhaul, bring people and ideas that want to help citizens and not make their lives hell trying to get a simple document. Getting a document is like a courtesy! You are better off traveling to Nairobi and getting your documents processed there. Waste of time.

I never write reviews, but the office in NYC is bordering on embarrassment. Their staff can never provide any information without giving an attitude and being rude. Their default is \go to the website\. Well if the website was so clear why the hell would I be calling?? Ive traveled alot and called several other embassies and never get this rude behavior from others. Now, with the E-passport debacle, it's amazing Kenyans have to take vacation time to travel to DC or LA to get the darn thing done.

It is difficult to even give one star. They have had my passport with visa application for over 3 weeks. I called many times and only got answering machine. They finally called me back and said I sent it in too early because visa is only good for 90 days. I am arriving in 150 days. So instead of returning it or calling me, they just kept it. So yesterday when they called they promised to mail me back everything I mailed them. I prepaid with tracking, it still is not in mail. I have been calling again, no person ever answers. man promised to put in mail yesterday. In the meantime, I have 7 other countries to apply too. They have inconvenienced me terribly.
