The hospitality from Nellie was amazing. Delicious pancakes and bacon. Stayed here twice in the past few years to hike the white mountains, looking forward to staying there again. Classic rooms with an upstate New Hampshire feel. A nice walking distance into town to explore the general stores, bars, and restaurants. Would definitely recommend to my friends.
Zero stars if I could. Booked through Orbitz which states it was "dog friendly" so my wife called to double check before our trip and the owner basically stated that their "dog friendly" room was all booked. We even sent them an email previously with no response. Good thing we called otherwise we would be scrabbling to find a hotel(which we still currently are). Extremely unprofessional. Just be careful when booking at this establishment.
it was our first stay at Spruce Moose Lodge, we will be going back. Nellie and Leon are awesome they thought of everything. You feel more like you are visiting old friends everything right down to how they make and serve you breakfast.The 3 dogs are super friendly and very cute
The snow is sprinkling down, the neighborhood is lit up, people are out talking and ice skating in their yards. Nice warm cozy cabin, doesn't get better!

Great place, very clean. Roger's Retreat was perfect! Quick 10 minute walk into town. Nellie and Leon were extremely hospitable. We'll definitely be back!
