Needed a flat front tire fixed. Rob replaced the inner tube without any fuss, and I was out in 15 minutes. Awesome! First time customer, great experience.
Rob is a good mechanic and pleasant to deal with. I wish I could give him more stars. When dropping the bike off I specified what was wanted and asked the approximate cost which he gave. I was assured I would get a phone call if it looked like more was needed. I left my phone number. No phone call came regarding the cost. No phone call came letting me know it was ready for pick up. I stopped by at 4:30pm a week after drop off and the store was closed, despite the advertised 6pm closing. In the meantime, I called and left voice mail messages twice and gave my phone number each time. Upon pick up I was charged 140 MORE than the approximated cost. He said he didn’t have the right phone number and couldn’t call me despite having given it three times. Similar to the other reviewer which gave only one star, he offered to refund me some money. I appreciated his honesty. However, the total cost was still 97 MORE than the approximated cost.
Rob is the best! He lives cycling and knows what’s best for each type of rider. If your looking for a bike or bike repair Pawling Cycle is a must!
I have my bikes serviced here as well as bought one here. Rob has always provided excellent service and shares his wealth of knowledge. #1 in my book!
