The house is older, but charming. I had a private room with a private bathroom, the other rooms have a shared bathroom. If you have an appointment at OHSU it is only a few minutes away.

We were in town for a surgery at OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital and Mike's place couldn't have been a better place to stay. Besides the obvious advantage of being 5 minutes from OHSU, everything about the inn is as comfortable as being at home, and the view from the balcony in Room 2 is breathtaking. Everything is clean and tidy. The bathrooms are exceptionally clean, well-stocked with extra towels, and there are soap dispensers in place of those little soaps most hotels give out (#zerowaste peeps will appreciate the soap dispensers!) Our bed was extremely comfortable, as it was a wonderful cocoon of thick blankets and squishy pillows. The absolute best part of our stay, however, was Mike's cooked-to-order breakfast. He made the best hashbrowns I've ever had in my life. In conclusion, I highly recommend staying here and I will definitely book a room on my next trip to Portland.

My husband and I stayed here the night of March 15, 2021, for an appointment at OHSU early the following morning. We arrived a little later in the evening and couldn’t find the exact location, my gps said we were there but I didn’t think it was right, I called the main number and the manager helped me navigate to the more precise location. We just didn’t go far enough up the road as it turns out. We got to the room and it was clean, quiet and really homey. The bed was comfortable, but the real hidden treasure.... THE COMFORTER! Oh-my-goodness. It was so plush, so cozy and so warm. I didn’t want to leave from under the comfort of it. We were up early and the directions said it was okay to make coffee. The pot brewed hot and fast. It would have been better with real creamer rather than powdered, but I understand that corona has but limitations on what we can have and not have. It was a 3 minute drive to the patient parking lot at OHSU which was absolutely fantastic. We found it comical it took only a few minutes to get to the hospital and took us 20 minutes to navigate the elevators and our way around. Thank you for the wonderful stay, we highly recommend your Bed & Breakfast. If we have to go to OHSU for anything again, we will be booking a stay here.

Very quaint little inn, relaxing and feels like home. The owner Mike is very attentive and will make you a nice breakfast. Plus, it's next door to OHSU so if you need to be there in the morning there is no traffic to worry about.

Cozy stay. Inn keeper is incredibly nice and welcoming. Makes you feel taken care of! Breakfast in the morning is very yummy! Extremely reasonable pricing for a stay close to OHSU. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay. I was here for a medical emergency involving my father who was airlifted to OHSU. Mike is a gracious host. The house is clean, comfortable and cozy. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. I highly recommend the Inn at Marquam Hill.

Pros: Clean rooms, bathrooms Cons: No air conditioning I woke up sweating several times even with the provided fan on I got terrible sleep - nobody checks me in I walk into an unlocked house and pick up a letter with my name it’s kinda depressing -was asked in my letter NOT to ever lock the front door. I’m in a big city and anyone with any intention could just walk right in in the night. This contributed to my unease and lack of sleep. -was asked in my welcome letter to leave cash or check in an unsecured area of inn the kitchen if I have to leave before 7:30 so if someone is dishonest and takes it through the unlocked front door Who will cover for my night when I’ve already paid? With the amount I pay per night here at inn at Marquam hill I have yet to experience any “charm” I can pay the same price and get my own thermostat AND bathroom only 10 minutes away with a key for my door and a welcome check in person at the counter. Along with a continental breakfast. Since I leave early I get charged the full price but have never been made breakfast here. Also, there’s an odd smell I don’t like. With the heat it gets a little stronger. I won’t be returning here there’s plenty of other more comfortable options close to oHSU who’s price fits their accommodations much better. Here I feel I am being overcharged

I had a number of different options of places that I could stay. I am a student on a limited budget who came to OHSU for an interview. This was one of the places listed on OHSU's list of negotiated discounted places to stay. I called this place and was quoted 52.50 a night, which was slightly cheaper than the other places that I asked, but it made sense since there were less amenities. I would have preferred a different place with more amenities, however the price was hard to beat. When I checked in the bill contained the same price that I was quoted. When I checked out I payed the amount that was due and then was contacted a few hours later and was told that there had been a mistake. They told me that there was no room that was 52.50 and that my room was actually 99 per night. I was confused and tried to explain that the 52.50 was consistent with what I was quoted and the bill that I received. They wouldn't listen to anything that I said and immediately charged my credit card. I would not have chosen to stay here because I had cheaper options than 99 per night.
