My son and I had hoped to stay at The Guest Home in August. We had kind of a complicated situation and even though we were not able to make our trip I wanted to acknowledge the fantastic service offered by the host of this property! She was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and extremely accommodating. We look forward to visiting Potsdam and The Guest Home hopefully in the near future.

My wife and I just got married in Canton, NY. Although we are from Syracuse, we met at SUNY Potsdam nearly 8 years ago. We found this beautiful house to stay at with our bridal party members for the weekend of our wedding. They were so easy to work with and set us up with a bride and groom room. The place is beautiful and huge. I got lost several times. It made for a perfect place to rest and hangout after both the rehearsal night and the wedding night. If you have the opportunity to stay here I strongly suggest that you do.
We rented this beautiful home for our family to stay in for our daughter's graduation from Clarkson. Our entire family came and this home was so perfect for us to all stay in! We were able to eat meals together and celebrate her graduation. The house is beautiful, comfortable, and spacious. Perfect for a family gathering! Maricris was helpful and responsive. The owners thought of everything...snacks, coffee, games, everything we needed! I highly recommend this property!
I had an extended stay (about a month) due to extenuating family circumstances. Maricris was very friendly, understanding and went out of her way to work with me to make sure I had a comfortable place to stay. Janine the property manager is also very friendly and made me feel right at home. The house is ABSOLUTELY beautiful! It is well managed and appears to be newly renovated and is in great shape. Nothing appeared worn or badly used. I stayed in Maxine's room which is outfitted with a real queen size bed (not those fake hotel queen's that are smaller), a dresser, TV, walk-in closet and some bench seating. The bed itself is very very comfortable. Just outside the room was a full window bench and bathroom. There is a curtain between this \wing\ and the rest of the house for added privacy. I had full access and use of the kitchen was did not seem to be lacking for anything! There is seating for two at a counter in the kitchen, and a full dining room table in the dining room. The TV room was comfortable and I enjoyed using it at night to sit and knit while I watched TV. I did take a tour and the rooms upstairs are all also lovely. There are 3 or 4 bedrooms upstairs, some with additional sitting rooms. I also had access to the laundry room, which made my stay that much easier. I am waiting for nicer weather to take advantage of coffee in the morning outside on the porch! Boy, if I could buy this house and just live here, I certainly would!
A group of friends and I rented out this house. It was absolutely beautiful, comfortable, spacious, and clean. There were 9 of us, and we didn't feel cramped or crowded. Would definitely stay there again on another trip to Potsdam.
