I got a chimney inspection and cleaning as well as recommendations for repairs. Service was excellent. Kephra was very polite. Very informative. And took the time to thoroughly explain issues with my chimney with me. He was also upfront about the different solutions for the issue as well as the costs for the repair. He also cleaned up thoroughly when he was finished. The repairs are on the expensive end (5-7k depending on what I choose to do), but “knowledge is power,” as they say, and I feel informed to make the best decision going forward in whatever direction I wind up taking thanks to his help. Thank you, good sir.

After many years of disuse, I decided to have Hudson Valley Chimney perform an inspection on my fireplace and chimney. Robby was the technician and he did an extremely thorough job, while leaving no dirt behind. Much to my dismay, he discovered that the home builder failed to build the chimney properly and I needed to have a proper metal chase cover installed as well as removal of debris from the chase itself. He gave a me a very fair price and when the job turned out to take longer and be more difficult than envisioned, he kept the price at the original estimate. Connor was the technician along with Josh who performed 6 hours of grueling, filthy work without complaint. I can't thank everyone involved enough for the awesome job they did for me!

I would highly recommend Hudson Valley Chimney for any of your chimney services. We had them clean our fireplace back in September. During the cleaning, the chimney sweep noticed our flue liner had cracks in it and recommended that it be repaired. After 35 years of use, we were not surprised it needed repair. They sent us an estimate with specific details of the work. It was a two day job. Rob and Tim came the first day to prep the chimney with a compound that dissolved all the creosote in the flue. The second day, Dave came back with Tim and the cleaned the chimney of the old creosote and applied a sealant to the flue liner to repair. the cracks. Both days they put down cardboard and drop cloths over a large area of the room. When they were finished, they vacuumed the entire area and made sure the room was as clean as it was before they started. Tim was the outside man and we didn’t have much contact with him, but both Rob and Dave were very friendly and answered all our questions. I must say Tim was outside in very cold windy conditions mixing up the compound and climbing up the roof and installing the equipment needed for the repair. Now our chimney is like new, ready for another 35 years of use. Very professional and knowledgeable of the chimney cleaning business.

Fantastic service that will leave you feeling safe and secure with your chimney. Kephra came to inspect my chimney for my main heating as well as my wood burning stove. I am a new home owner and never had experience with a chimney before. He was great at explaining how everything worked and what was needed to ensure we were using our furnace safely and effectively. We needed a new liner for the chimney and they were able to schedule this the very next day. David and Tim were on time and did such clean and fast work, it was impressive considering it was such a tough job. If you are new to fireplaces and chimneys, I recommend you get Hudson Valley Chimney because they really know what they are doing and will patiently explain everything.
