Amazing secluded cabins on a large pond just off the interstate in Rayne, the frog capital of the world! The owner is fantastic and makes the most incredible breakfast, delivered right to your front porch. The cabins are incredibly charming, cozy, and filled with antiques. We very much enjoyed our stay.

A little slice of heaven is what Maison D'Memoire is. Beautiful scenery. A lake to fish in, walk around, or even enjoy an evening picnic. My wife and I stayed in the Prairie Haven house for our anniversary and enjoyed every minute of it. The gourmet breakfast in the mornings, the homemade cookies to welcome us to our home away from home, the little personal touches all made for such a warm, welcoming, and peaceful environment. One of the things that really caught my attention were the memory journal entries of former guests. I could've sat in the comfortable seats with a cup of coffee or glass of wine and read them all. People from around the state, country, or even from around the world sharing their "memoirs" of their stay in this very house. I can't recommend Maison D'Memoire enough. Ken and Lyn have truly put their heart and soul into this little slice of heaven. I don't know when. But we will definitely be back to make some more memories.
Peaceful, tranquil, clean, and with personal touches to make your arrival and stay extra special. This is a gorgeous property offering 4 historical cottages, refurbished perfectly to accommodate modern amenities like central A/C, air purifiers, romantic jetted and clawfoot tubs. It's easy to find, not far from I-10 in Rayne, but it feels like a little slice of paradise! We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at Sweet Surrender cottage which was exactly what we hoped it would be - charming, peaceful and super comfortable. The bed was very comfortable which is one of my must-haves. Our hostess, Lyn, was so warm and welcoming, willing to share a bit of history on the place which I thoroughly enjoyed. And her phenomenal breakfasts delivered to your porch with a light knock make you feel like royalty! We can't wait to return and try a stay in each cottage. Thanks to the Guidrys for this awesome getaway destination.
Great place to get away, relax, & do absolutely nothing. Ken & Lyn were very welcoming throughout our stay. The breakfast was just as good as it looked! Will definitely return!
TAKE MY MONEY This was a WONDERFUL location for my wife and I to celebrate our 9th anniversary. The property was beautiful and very well maintained. Our cottage was clean, inviting, and well-decorated. It was a one night stay, but we would do it again in a heartbeat. Also, while walking the property, the owner was out on her gator/golf cart, and made it a point to drive up and greet us (keys were left outside for us to let ourselves in; this was VERY nice, as it made everything feel very private and romantic). She was friendly and genuinely interested in who her guests were. HIGHLY recommended.
Peaceful setting. Relax and recharge in a place that feels like home. I can not say enough about this place. You feel like family here. I never want to leave!
I took the time to stay in one of Ms Lyn's & Ken's cottages. I'm glad I did! The history & stories that go along with their cottages are quite awesome! The scenery is just as beautiful! Ms Lyn provides breakfast.. Furnishings are spot on & fun! We walked the grounds one evening & truly enjoyed the peacefulness!
This place is amazing and full of character. The service is beyond any expectation that you might have. Cozy cottage, wonderful views, and delicious breakfast. Looking for a getaway, make your reservations now. Local restaurants, with outstanding food, close to the property. We will be back.
