Wow after reading the other reviews, I am on a natural high. If possible, I would give this experience a -1. I can be argumentative and combative at times. Tuesday after voting, I looked up the address for the social security office up north. It gave 6910 North Holmes in Gladstone. I went there, and it said the office had moved on North Green Hills Road. At the second location, it had the hours of 9:00-4:00, and every bag will be checked. There was only one car in the lot, which was strange. I tried both sides of the doors, before realizing they were locked. A fedex truck came up, and the driver came to the door. The security guard must have been looking at the cameras. When he reached for the package, I asked if customers were allowed in, and he said no. I asked about the hours and the bags being checked. He said I'm not going to argue with you. As his face turned red, I left. I noticed a UPS truck, was making deliveries in the back. These workers are getting paid, plus they are using government facilities, and the taxpayers are still paying. We seem to be getting the shaft, but no real customer service. The license bureau followed CDC guidelines in June, and I was able to get my car tags. There were hundreds of people in line, when we all voted. The federal government seems to be the only office, not accepting customers. If this office ever opens, I will pass it up and go to another location.

This is my first negative review of any establishment. I feel strongly to share my experience. I recieved horrible, disrespectful service. I was instructed to mail in documents for a name change since the office has been shut for over 6 months due to COVID-19. I was assured this was a safe method. I mailed in my sensitive documents over a week ago. Today I call to check on it and had to repeat everything twice to the same person- made me wonder if they were even listening to help but I overlooked that. After they told me that my documents were not found in the system, I became frustrated because I was instructed to mail in since they don't want to work with the public at all to solve things that they require!! The worse part is that I asked to speak to a manager just so I could talk the situation through and the agent denied to forward me to a manager and would not forward me to their voicemail either. They said they don't want me to get them in trouble. I assured them that I wasn't frustrated with them I just wanted to feel better by talking to a manager and they continued to decline me and became so rude. Horrible service and no compassion when you are frustrated about lost paperwork. The least they could do is have good service and compassion for a client who is frustrated about a situation and not them.

I understand that things are crazy and the folks at the social security office are miserable but so is everyone else. I’m trying to figure out the steps to change my name after marriage during this time, I had to call 3 times and navigate the menus to finally get connected with a human. I spoke with a gentleman named Joshua who was short and no help at all. If someone could give me and assistance that would be much appreciated

Deplorable experience with a so-called tech over the phone. The reviews I see before mine given here, I completely sympathize with you all. Who is running this place?

I scheduled a phone interview 3 weeks ago for 1pm today for son’s survivors benefits. I waited until 1:30pm then called to make sure there was no issues. The 1st man I spoke to had no idea what was going on. He tried verifying my phone number and they had the wrong number. Even though the form they mailed me with my scheduled interview had the correct number. I told him that I don’t know who’s number that is but it’s not mine. He then asked my about a lady named Sharon, who I don’t know. He told me he had it figured out and I would receive a call at 1:50pm to do my interview. I waited again until 2:30pm then called. The lady I got this time told me to wait 30 mins and call back or I could reschedule but the 1st available is Nov 30th! I told her I would wait and call back. When I called back I did get a nice lady that told me she was sending my info to management and someone would call me. About 45 mins later I got a call from a different (very rude) lady who told me they had rescheduled me to Nov 30th and there was nothing I could do! I asked her why I had to wait a whole month when it wasn’t my fault. She tried to tell me I changed my phone number to late. I explained that I never changed my number. The correct number was on the mail they sent me and I didn’t know how they got that other number. She told me that it was irrelevant now and there’s nothing I can do about it! I spent my evening crying because not only am I dealing with the grief from our loss but also struggling financially. These people so insensitive and rude! They deserve 0 stars!
