We signed up for the Kilaurwen Winery boxwood wreath making and had a Blast! Doriene & Bob are the owners and they are the most sweet, personable and loving winery owners I have ever met. Our group of ladies drove from Richmond and were welcomed with open arms. They had many outdoor tables, a firepit and beautiful lights strung along the trees. Doriene had made us homemade mulled wine that was delicious. I had no idea how to make a wreath and they helped me make a masterpiece. Wine is delish. My favorites are Cab Franc and Fiesta for making Sangria. What a great winery to spend the day! We look forward to coming back and staying at their 2 bedroom Airbnb.

We are in Virginia specifically to review the wines. We visited 10 wineries in 3 days. Kilauren was the least pleasurable experience. My feelings have nothing to do with the service of how attractive the property is. My quibble is with the tasting. 1/2 oz of 5 wines for 5. A half oz isn't enough to judge the wine. I guess I could have ordered 2 tastings and combined each one for a 1 oz 10 tasting. I would consider that a fair price. In fact I would encourage the owners to adopt that model
