A doctor tells me a treatment that's not covered under insurance will be 1600 dollars. Specifically I asked, 'are there any other charges associated with this treatment?' His answer was 'no.' I've gotten Bill's for 2000 dollars more. The billing department is incompetent to answer any questions, and refer me to my insurance provider. Which doesn't cover the treatment. I ha e proof I've spent HOURS on the phone over a week and a half to get itemized charges, a month later I still have no response. Horrible department UH has.

I can't recommend Dr. Katy Lalone at UH Psychiatry enough. She is approachable, thorough, and concerned about the well-being of her patients. She designs treatment plans that take into account patients' individual needs, and she recognizes the complexity of mental health concerns as well as physical illnesses. Dr. Lalone spends time with her patients and never rushes through appointments. I always feel better after I visit her office!
