Doctors are not the issue here, but the office staff. I had my appointment ready, so I requested time-off from work to take my child for an annual well-child visit. Once I entered the facility, I was told that the doctor was not there, but nobody bothered to call me in advance so that I am not wasting my time. I was told they were sorry, but promised to call me to reschedule my appointment. It's been over a month and I still nobody called me. I wonder what the outcome would be if I was the one who missed the appointment or I was late. I am not returning there as I am already looking for another clinic to take both of my children.

My son recently saw Dr. Karen Evans, who is not his PCP, but who was available that day. She was absolutely wonderful with him and was very throughout in her examination, and very kind and easy going with us. You can tell she is a gifted pediatrician in how she interacts with children and families. She took her time and really provided us with the high level of care we have come to expect from Cook Children’s providers. I would absolutely recommend her, and this entire practice to anyone looking for a great pediatric general care, supported by the amazing specialists with Cook Children’s.

I took my son here today for his 4 year well child visit. He had just woken from a nap and had a slight cough. These people refused to see my son because he had a cough. Apparently this group of pediatricians will only treat your children if they are completely well. They have no care in the world the time off work I took to schedule this appointment. My previous pediatrician retired and will definitely never return to this office and will seek primary pediatric care from a doctor that is not afraid of a cough. Absolutely ridiculous.

Admittedly being late to an appointment isn't the way I want to start anything but sometimes it happens. My problem is this: when you call ahead to let them know you'll be late, and are confronted by a rude front desk person on the phone, and then have to deal with the same person who can't look you in the eye to deal with you, it compounds an already stressful situation. After a brief and unpleasant conversation I discovered the doctor had left five minutes after the appointment should have taken place. (We were 10 minutes late due to road construction.) If this is the kind of thing that passes for customer care I'd rather drive to Dallas and deal with professionals who can treat someone with a little compassion and professional courtesy, ya know like a doctor or nurse had been trained to.

I have had multiple issues with this location. It all started with providing my insurance information. I gave them proof of insurance literally 4 times, maybe more. I gave them my physical card at my appointment, emailed photos of the card twice, to still get a phone call from the billing department about my balance and them telling me there was no insurance on file!!! What really frustrates me is I got two different statements about my balance AFTER insurance was finally updated. One bill said we owed 70 but the next bill said we owed 236. When at our initial appointment I paid 165!!! I don’t understand how or where all the fees came from but at that point I didn’t even want to deal with this office anymore so we paid the 236 in full July 1st 2019. Which then brings me to this review. We get a statement today dated July 25th 2019 stating that our balance is PAST DUE 236. This is such a joke. I have the receipt and our bank statement that the 236 was paid. So ridiculous and I’m beyond frustrated.
