As a student (2015-2017) I can say that this school is good. Some of my classmates may say otherwise but I feel like I am more prepared for high school than a lot of the other people at PLHS. The PE department is top notch and I had my best science class so far there. The bathrooms are dirty and during my time there-there was some shady business going on (but that depends on the kids that go there). A lot of that can be expected at public schools but I think it gives you some life lessons if you choose correctly. Overall, I had a lot of fun at Correia Middle and I hope you do too.

This school sucks. The teachers there give you lots and lots of work and barely tell any information about it and expect you to finish it by the next day, where the process repeats. That is the main reason why most of the kids who go there will fail/get bad grades. And there is another problem: Dress code. Nobody, and I mean nobody, follows the dress code. From girls wearing short shorts to guys sagging their pants and showing off their underwear. Drugs are also a problem. I know a lot of people who smoke weed and/or vape. The bathrooms are very dirty and smelly and are most of the time vandalized with obscene drawings that the janitors work very hard to remove but then are appearing again afterwards so cleaning the drawings are pointless. The P.E. Locker Rooms are a problem too. The guy's locker room smells all the time, which is normal, and has a pest problem. I seen cockroaches on the floors before, dead. Most of the lockers are rusty since they are who knows how old, so that's a Tetanus hazard. The staff doesn't really try to enforce the dress code nor do they do anything about the drug problems going on. Most drug dealers there keep a low profile and the teachers don't know they do that. This school is also low-key ghetto and has that whole shady vibe to it. Conclusion: Send your child here, they will either become a bully, a victim of bullying, or a druggy. Don't send you child to this school if you want them to become a druggy or a bully/be bullied.
I'll give a few of these teaches credit because they actually try, but the majority of the teachers here could care less about the kids. The school itself just raised almost 30k to help the music program, and then cuts the intermediate guitar program right after. There's nobody supervising the kids during lunch breaks which leads to kids doing what they want. Knives are being brought to school, kids cutting themselves for attention is just another day there, pot and other drugs are there on a daily basis, if your kid doesn't have a cell phone, they will be the only one there without one (which leads to kids feeling insecure about their parent's rules) teachers don't respond to emails, there is no clear lesson plan for kids, gym teachers don't even know if our kids were in class or not.. I could keep going and going... It's a disgrace. I just pulled my son out and have decided to home school him. Put your kid in there at your own risk.
The only good thing about this school is the technology class if you enroll your kids here they will probably become a bully or be bullied. also you are probable going to turn into a drug addict becuase everyone is always super high even in class but teachers are dumb and dont notice.
The school is a great place they provide a bus for people that can't get hear on any other vehicle
