Plenty of room for the location to sit and order food. You just walk in and sit somewhere open and available. You do have to be patient when waiting for service. The larger the party the more patience is needed. The food was good and the hospitalit y was nice. The food was tastful and savory. Enjoyed the food i ordered and time there.

This is a nice soul food place. Good food, good drinks, pretty clean. They are newly remodeled. The parking lot is crowded and it is hard to find space. The servers are pleasant but not very attentive.
Clean facility with fast and friendly customer service. Large portions for the price. Food was pretty good and it wasn't salty! Parking is chaotic because it is in a small strip mall, which is shared with other businesses and there is not enough parking spaces.
Baked Chicken was Amazing fell off the bone the Cabbage let's just say I cannot express muy opinion with words. Best job Team
My family thoroughly enjoys eating here. Great customer service and they serve you so much food! Get the Catfish, the Pork chops, Smothered chicken, or pretty much anything on the menu and you'll be satisfied
What's Goods having great food if your customer service is horrible this was honestly one of the worst experiences This was the worst restaurant I have ever been to the customer service was horrible, never mind the dirty mess that was present when we walked in. I drove one hour with my family to have dinner we got there we waited almost 1 hour they didn't have fish when we ordered they came out after an hour to tell us that they didn't have any oxtails which we ordered and that the people before us got them. Again one hr wait before they even got to starting our order... they was very careless with their customer service..Manager Craig could careless that we were any inconvenienced I would never ever go back to this please one of the worst restaurants I've been to In My Life
If l could give more than 5 stars, l definitely would. Absolutely the most delicious food, especially the cabbage, greens, & yams I've ever had. For my taste the catfish could've been cooked a touch longer, but was still fantastic. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, clean. Large enough for a large family reunion or party. 5
Hands down this is the best soul food that you can have. Closest thing to big mama's food. Clean, friendly, delicious. People learn you when you are a regular and you may even run into someone famous as they crave mama Joan's as well. You will see mama Joan there daily cooking, and visiting with everyone. I travel from Orange County to share in the wonderful food. Sunday's are busy in the am so be patient because the food is well worth it.
