I’ve been here twice now; once for takeout and a second time when outdoor dining reopened. I must say, the outdoor dining experience was great. They made a BOAT on the side of the street. Tells me the restaurant is making the most of these crazy Covid times. The food is awesome. When we ordered food for take-out we got the Salmon Tacos and Lobster Roll. I can’t speak enough of the Salmon Tacos. So frickin’ good - everything in the taco works perfectly together and the salmon is fresh and you get A LOT. When dinning out, we reordered the Lobster Roll and Ipswich Clam roll. Both amazing and you just get SO MUCH lobster and clams! Also their house made chips are pretty good! Definitely plan to come back- the Salmon Tacos are definitely my favorite menu item thus far.

This spot was the end of my spontaneous birthday adventure. I had never been, but as we were crossing the Golden Gate after having visited the Marin Headlands, I was Yelping seafood restaurants that were not on the water to avoid the tourist crowds (I am not a fan of large crowds and being around a bunch of people). I saw this place and was drawn to the great pics I saw. Parking was a slight problem, so my sister and I were walking 3-4 blocks after we dropped our parents off. It's in a popular block it seems. Intimate feel inside with lots of fish/ocean related stuff on the walls. We were seated in the center of the restaurant right on top of the hostesses, so it was a wee bit cramped, but ultimately was not too bad. We started with the steamed muscles in butter, wine, and garlic sauce. They were good because they had a unique something to them that I enjoyed. I only wish there was more bread. There were only two small pieces of garlic toast for four people. We had to ask for some extra regular bread, which should be given, to sop up the muscle juice. MMm We also had a half dozen of the raw oysters on the half shell. My mom got the \medium\ sized. They were tiny but tasty. We shared a crab cocktail. It was nice. Finally, I got the New England white clam chowder which was bomb. So creamy and smooth with a good amount of clams. For my entre, I was torn between a few things but ended up getting the fettuccini with crab and caviar. It was very strong and rich in flavor, which did take away somewhat from the crab flavor, but it was tasty. My dad got the grilled scallops on top of broccolini- his was delicious. Overall, we didn't have to wait to be seated on a Saturday, we had great consistent and caring service, and everything tasted yummy. My only complaint was wanting more bread to sop up their delicious sauces for each plate. I will return.
We always eat here when we come into the city! Such wonderful service and excellent food. They've converted the outside sidewalk to a patio with about 5-6 tables so that you can enjoy your meal outside - our lobster rolls and fish and chips are almost more enjoyable this way! We are trying to support all our favourite local business through this pandemic and Woodhouse has made it really easy.
Great food and staff. Many options to choose from. Crab sandwich was delicious. Only four stars because it's a bit over priced.
Food excellent. We had Ipswich clams and crab cioppino. Only thing, very little crab due to season. So maybe I had Seafood Cioppino
