BEWARE******** If I can give negative stars I would, I do not know how these people are even employed more so in any consulate office. They are so negative and rude they basically say NO before they even look or read your paperwork ( maybe nepotism at it’s best ). Everyone must remember they would not have jobs if it wasn’t for the service they provide for that they should be thanking us for being employed. Simply categorized as DMV employees slow and not that smart. The receptionist is clueless and a joke, security turning off lights when people are still in the office because they are in a hurry to go home. Although you call, make an appointment online they will still tell you when your in line that your name is not on the list so with that being said please make sure you have a print out of your appointment confirmation made online. But still be ready that you will need a phone call and two trips their because they never tell you up front what you need they give You information in parts it’s almost as if your wAlking in at their mercy depending on the mood swings and power trips. A helpful punch list given online or in person after being told what the situation is would eliminate aggravation on both sides. This is Embarrassing to say the least for the Guatemalan culture. Supervising and/or managing, even degrees does not mean you have common sense, unfortunately common sense is not that common. Having a 2.9 rating now shows that this has been an ongoing problem that they do not intend to fix so just writing this to give anyone a warning and to drop your expectations of any professionalism or Courtesy at this office.

I was pleasantly surprised with this consulate. The staff from start to finish was so helpful and nice. They were considered, friendly and went beyond my expectations. I have travel to different Guatemala consulate and this one has gone beyond what I had expected. Next time I need to get any type of documentation I I know where it will get done fast and friendly. Thanks guys for your hard work and time
