Overall I've been very pleased living at McCormick Place. I've been living here for three semesters now and just renewed my lease for another year. The price of living here is very reasonable for what you get. The rooms are spacious and each bedroom has its own bathroom which is a great feature. I really like the shuttle that is available to and from campus, it has definitely saved me money since I didn't need to buy a parking pass for campus. I also utilize the free printing that is available in the clubhouse if you bring your own paper. Another great service McCormick provides is food and fun activities for the residents. I really appreciate the free food during finals week, you can tell McCormick cares about its residents. I haven't had any problems with maintenance requests getting done in a timely manner, usually they're fairly quick. The only issue I have with living here is the poor insulation. The electricity bill is very high in the winter and the bedrooms get really cold. Besides the cold bedroom a few months out of the year I love living here. I feel very safe and the environment here is great.

Shane came to fix a leaky sink and adjust our showers and he is the nicest man I have ever met. He was quick, thorough, and very friendly. I also lost my key and the front desk was very kind and helpful and not once did they even look annoyed. So far all I have to say about the staff is that they are absolutely amazing people, and I look forward to working with them for at least the rest of the year!

The quarters worked with my roommates and I️ so well!!! In a day they made a 4 bedroom happen with us! Highly recommend this apartment complex! Super friendly management and very helpful!

1 star now that Granite has taken over. -------------------------------------------- 4 stars for management and experience prior to the Granite takeover (fall 2015 to summer 2017). It is neither the best place in the area nor the worst. However, whenever I had to go to the office, I had good interactions. All my rent checks were received and cashed in a timely manner. The apartment was fairly clean and came with everything working. It did help that I had a responsible friend live in the same apartment for a year already. The dryer was not great, so you'll have to play with the time and heat settings or air dry your clothes. Nothing broke during my lease, so I had a rather fortunate experience. Insulation is ok, and I had the room window sealed up to stop air drafts. After heavy snow, the walkways were mostly cleared and salted. It could have been better, but you should always be careful when walking on snow/ice.

I lived at this apartment complex before it was owned by Granite and absolutely loved it. However, I couldn’t wait to move out once I found out Granite bought it out. They just do not care about their residents. Our apartment staircase caught on fire and nobody would give me answers as to how it happened. I had to go to the fire department to ask what happened and how they can make sure it wouldn’t happen again. Another thing that I hated was that they would give perspective tenants tours through your apartment while you still lived there, even though there are model apartments in the clubhouse. We had students walking through our bedrooms and it felts very uncomfortable and was extremely inconvient. Being a student, I would have to take time away from my studies to make sure the apartment was show ready and then I wanted to be present during the tours as well to make sure nothing of mine was messed with. When complaining to Granite, they responded with no sympathy or understanding. I can’t even count the problems I had living there this year. I highly encourage you not to live there. On a side note, Shane, the maintence guy, was absolutely amazing. He is seriously the nicest man you will ever meet.

Maintenance is great (shout out to Shane for being bomb af) and the office staff is ALWAYS super helpful and friendly (shout out to Austin for also being bomb af). If there is ever an issue, the office staff are quick to act on it and get it resolved as fast as possible. I have lived in a 4 bed here the past two years and we have never had to wait more than two or three days to have our maintenance requests addressed. The closets definitely could be bigger but having your own bathroom makes up for that. Overall, great place to live. 10/10 would recommend!

This is my second year living at McCormick Place. So far I have had no problems with the leasing office or the property that couldn't be fixed. I had a drip in my ceiling above the shower. I put a request for maintenance service online, and it was fixed the next day. Our microwave stopped heating things up, and we put in a service request which resulted in a new microwave installed a few days later. The apartments are spacious (I live in a 3 bedroom) and the prices are reasonable and include everything except electricity. A lot of other complexes raised prices for rent last year, but the price for my apartment size actually went down for this year. The clubhouse has a lot of things to offer with a decent gym, pool table, ping pong table, and foosball. The leasing office puts on a lot of events for its residents. At least a few events per month, like catered taco bars, wing bars, etc, and activities for events like finals week, resident appreciation week, and lots of other things! The property is also close to campus - just a few minute drive from Purdue West. People say their electric bills are extremely high, as much as over 400/mo. The highest my bill has been was one at 250 (middle of winter) and one right at 200. Other than that they are in the low 100s around the 135 range. The water heater and the air/heat are all electric - which is why it will likely higher than places who do not use electric for those things. I would recommend McCormick to anyone looking for an apartment off campus. It's definitely a great experience!

This apartments are the worst apartments you can live in if your a Purdue students. If there was a 0 on the rating scale i would give it to them. I hate the fact that i have to write bad things about people but its the hard truth so i have to say it. I had put in my application i don't smoke nor do i want to live with smokers but they put me in an apartment with smokers. Their maintenance takes for ever to make things happen. They claim to be affordable but they would always find a way to milk money out of you through outrageous electric bill that no one knows where they came from. Also when you move into the apartments, you will find them dirty like a junk yard... Most importantly they have the worst transportation shuttle compare to all the apartments in the area. They have a tiny shuttle which can only fit few people so passenger end up been packed like caned food , just to get to campus, and their shuttle only runs 2 times in an hour until 5:40pm.. whereas the other apartments have large buses which runs 4 times in an hour, can even transport your bicycle and run even after midnight. If you're looking for convenience then don't try this apartments
