My father, Larry Brown, was sent here for a 2 week stint to build a little strength up so he could handle a bit more chemo to knock out his cancer. He had 3 chemo treatments that worked like a charm. Cancer reacted beautifully. 2 weeks at Mansfield Med. Lodge then home for outpatient chemo. 3 weeks later the lack of food, bed sores, dehydration, slurred speech starting, and his inability to feel pain led to my 30 min investigation. No bed clothes changed, no report by staff of his condition, the lights in the room hadn't worked in 3 weeks. He liked it dark so we didn't notice until I visually checked for sores and no lights. Then I noticed his swollen stomach. I demanded an ambulance or I would arrange one to get him back to the hospital asap. They started to argue with me saying he was OK until they realized I don't argue by my dialing 911 at first sign of non-compliance. Longer story short. My father's kidneys were failing, the cancer returned with a fierceness without chemo and without any MEDICAL care at all for 3 weeks in the MEDICAL LODGE. 4 of the worst days later I had to decide to take my friend, my fishing/hunting buddy, my always there for me, my dad off life support rather than see him in anymore pain. 4 a.m. that night I sat with him holding his hand and telling him I was there and not to be scared and that I'd see him again one day, when he took a final breath. Mans. Med.Lodge directly responsible for his decline, caused his death. I hate them all as a whole.

Family is better off home alone than in this facility. My father was here for rehab stayed less than a month. Had issues with him getting taken care of baths, clothes changed, medical needs met ect.Seemed like aides could care less. I will say the rehab team seemed efficient. Left by ambulance one night and was admitted to ICU for 2 weeks the nurses therecouldn'tbelieve they had him in that condition. If I had not been checking on him DAILY and insisted they call 911 he probably would've died there. Please look elsewhere. Tried to keep it short.
Thats place is the most horrible place we put my member family they don’t care about the resident they never give a update how you family member improved when you need talk the supervisor never have time or never call back when residents go to doctor appointment they send you family with the clothes wear for weeks i said that because is the happen with my family member service is horrible and finally my member is back home but i not recommend this place
A very happy and positive environment. This facility is beautiful and provides the best care in the surrounding area. The therapy team is wonderful and has success story after success story of the amazing work they can do with your loved one.
Can’t find a better PT and OT team, fantastic service! Rehab was Able to help me get out of my bed on my own, and to be able to walk on my own Without a Walker and to allow me to transition to independent living facility! Thank you Mansfield Medical Lodge
