Northwood Hills Care Center is the BEST!!! If I could give it 10 stars I would! The staff here truly cares about the residents and does everything that they possibly can to ensure that they are safe, happy and healthy. I have had multiple family members here and they have all been treated with the utmost respect and received the absolute best care. My mother was here multiple times, my grandfather finished his race here and now my grandmother is here. I wish every long term care facility had the staff that is here. I know without a doubt that if anything were going on with one of my family that was living here that they will contact me as soon as possible. They ensure that every resident has everything they could need. The therapists that are here work hard to make sure that the residents receive any special care they need to be comfortable or to transition back home as strong as possible. Honestly I can't say enough about how well this place takes care of their residents. I would not be afraid to take any family member to this facility! They truly have the best staff anywhere!!!

If I could give it negative stars I would. It stinks. There were bugs in the dresser. Mold along the floors and the whole place is falling down. This was a total nightmare for my dad the 1 night he stayed before immediately pulling him out once we realized all of this. I could go on and on about the nightmares of this facility.
My father has been in and out of this facility for the past 13 years. We have experienced almost every aspect from rehab services to now full care as my dad is now on hospice care . We have gotten to know the staff so well. They care for and love my daddy as if he were their own. I am so grateful to them for taking such good care of him. They have become part of our family. There has been many times my heart has smiled from overhearing a CNA /a nurse/ a staff member speaking lovingly to a resident in another room. It’s those moments that ease my mind. They truly care. Thank you Northwood Hills! Great , kind, , professional, caring staff!
After having a stroke in Costa Rica, I chose to do my post-stroke rehabilitation at Northwood Hills Care Center. When I arrived at Northwood Hills, I was on a feeding tube due to the stroke. With swallowing therapy, my swallow has been restored and I have the joy of eating again. Speech Therapy has given me the courage to speak again. Now I have conversations with friends in Costa Rica and the United States in Spanish and English. With Physical Therapy, my walking is getting better each day. My ultimate goal is to return to mission work in Costa Rica. Psalm 30:2: “O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me. (KJV)”
I can walk real good now. I can walk 10 laps around my room. I'm better at exercising with my legs. I can get up better. I can get in and out of bed by myself. I am well pleased!
