Living at the Standard has been amazing. The amenities are refreshing, the modern build quality is top notch, all right next to downtown Auburn. Even with covid the Standard has delivered a premium student living experience to its customers. Would highly recommend to any prospective students.

As of the 2020/2021 leasing season… Pros: - Hands down best pool / rooftop in Auburn - Relatively close to campus - Maintenance is nice, knowledgeable, and comes quick - Most units come with a balcony Cons: - Fire alarm goes off AT LEAST once a week - Right next to the train tracks so you will hear every train that comes by (not their fault, but important to note) - Construction was rushed and you can notice a lot of cost-saving shortcuts that were taken (ex: VERY thin walls, open-air hallways, cheap paint that peels right off the wall and has many drip marks) - Parking deck is a nightmare and way too tight Overall consensus: The amenities are quite nice, however, it is not worth the trains every hour and fire alarms going off constantly in the middle of the night. There are plenty of other similar apartment complexes in Auburn that are more put together and have a better (and quieter) location.

Should be higher rated but it’s a 2. On the surface, this apartment seems great but once you start to live here you will see why it’s not that great. The amenities are great and the staff is usually very helpful which is an upside. They host lots of events and raffles which is nice as well. The downside is that too many little kids live here so it seems the fire alarm will go off almost every single day. Peace and quiet is the last thing you’ll get from this place!

Do not move into this apartment. My daughter has been living in this complex for the past two years, and the building was clearly built extremely quickly. The walls are paper thin, leaving no element of privacy. She has had maintenance walk into her unit several times, without notice. The fire alarms also go off every week with no fire, most times in the middle of the night. The parking garage is extremely tight, and my daughter has witnessed several accidents because of its structure. Unfortunately, there is nothing positive I can say about this apartment.

I am not sure how this place even has a 4.1 star rating. If the Standard is presented the opportunity to cut a corner, they cut it. First off, there was a period time that the fire alarm went off every day for two straight weeks. Second, my fan chain in my room broke when I pulled on it, and they tried to charge me 150 to replace the fan even though it was not my fault. (That fan could not have cost more than 30 bucks; it is super cheap) Now, my new fan’s light bulb has already gone out, and I have had this fan for 2 months. The parking garage door is broken on one side, so the Standard’s solution to this problem is to set a cone in front of the door because fixing it might require time and money. The hallways are exposed to the outside which makes them freezing in the winter time; it is a lot worse if you are on a higher floor. The price you pay to live at the Standard is a premium; but in return, you receive poor quality and service. Take your money elsewhere and save yourself a headache!
